Simultaneous Isolation and Activation of T Cells (SIAT)

BMS’ patent-pending SIAT (Simultaneous Isolation and Activation of T cells) protocol allows T cells to be simultaneously isolated and activated to permit downstream transduction and expansion of CAR-T cells.  Employing BMS’ common-capture ferrofluids, we have demonstrated isolation and activation of T cells from leukapheresis products in one step.  Such cells have been successfully transfected with a GFP plasmid with high efficiency and viability, and expansions of 600-fold over 18 days have been achieved.
